ABOUT ALLISON
Allison is a partner at Johnstone & Johnstone LLP. She completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Cornell Law School, where she focused on human rights law and graduated with honours in 2017. During her time at Cornell, Allison was elected Secretary of the LL.M. Association.

Allison obtained her Juris Doctor from University of Windsor in 2016, where she received the highest standing in Criminal Law. During her legal studies, she worked as a Research Assistant at Western University. In that role, Allison assisted with the highly publicized Dutee Chand decision issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, as well as the independent investigative report to the World Anti-Doping Agency involving Russian athletes.

Allison practises in all areas of labour and employment law, with particular experience in police discipline and human rights matters. For nearly ten years, she appeared as a Prosecutor under the Police Services Act and conducted appeals before the Ontario Civilian Police Commission. She now represents police services in disciplinary proceedings under the Community Safety and Policing Act before the Ontario Police Arbitration and Adjudication Commission, as well as in arbitration proceedings and matters before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

In addition, Allison has conducted numerous workplace investigations across a variety of sectors, including police services, school boards, Crown corporations, and private companies.
​
Outside of her legal practice, Allison enjoys skiing, scuba diving, and spending time with her husband and two children.
